What Is the Image Toolkit?
The Image Toolkit is a free, browser-based image editor for ecommerce sellers. It bundles four common product photo tasks into a single page: resize, compress, add a text watermark and convert between JPEG, PNG and WebP. Everything runs locally in your browser using the HTML Canvas API, so your images never leave your device.
How Image Processing Works
Upload an image by clicking the upload box or dragging and dropping a file. The tool accepts JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF input. When an image is loaded, the original width and height are read automatically and used as the default resize values.
In resize mode you set a custom width and height in pixels or pick a platform preset. In compress mode you adjust a quality slider from 10 to 100 percent and choose the output format. In watermark mode you enter text and adjust font size (12 to 72 pixels) and opacity (10 to 80 percent). In convert mode you set dimensions, quality and output format at the same time.
When you click Process Image, the tool draws the original image onto an HTML canvas at the target dimensions, applies the watermark text if any, then exports the canvas as a JPEG, PNG or WebP data URL. The result preview, file size and compression ratio update immediately, and you can download the processed file with one click.
How to Use the Image Toolkit
- Choose a mode at the top of the panel: Resize, Compress, Watermark or Convert.
- Click the upload box or drag a JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF file into it.
- For resize or convert, set width and height in pixels or pick a platform preset from the dropdown.
- For compress or convert, adjust the quality slider and select an output format (JPEG, PNG or WebP).
- For watermark, type the watermark text and adjust size and opacity.
- Click Process Image to render the result, then click Download to save the processed file.
Image Processing Example
To resize a product photo for an Amazon listing, switch to resize mode, upload the image, then open Platform Presets and choose Amazon Square (2000x2000). The width and height fields update to 2000 and 2000. Click Process Image to render the resized canvas, then click Download to save the file as a JPEG ready for upload.
To compress a large product image, switch to compress mode, upload the image, set quality to 70 percent and pick JPEG as the output format. The result panel shows the new file size and the percentage reduction so you can compare before downloading.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
Are images uploaded to a server?
No. All image processing happens locally in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, which keeps them private and lets the tool work without an internet connection once the page has loaded.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF images. Output can be converted to JPEG, PNG or WebP. The convert and compress modes both let you pick the output format and adjust quality from 10 to 100 percent.
What platform presets are included?
The resize mode includes presets for Amazon Square (2000x2000), Amazon Main (2000x2000), eBay Main (1600x1600), Shopify Product (2048x2048), Instagram Square (1080x1080), Instagram Story (1080x1920), Facebook Ad (1200x628) and Pinterest Pin (1000x1500). You can also enter any custom width and height in pixels.
How does the watermark feature work?
In watermark mode you enter a text watermark, then adjust font size from 12 to 72 pixels and opacity from 10 to 80 percent. The text is drawn at the center of the image with a shadow so it stays readable on both light and dark backgrounds. Only text watermarks are supported; image or logo watermarks are not available.
Can I see how much the file size was reduced?
Yes. After processing, the result panel shows the new file size and the compression ratio as a percentage, with a minus sign when the file got smaller and a plus sign when it got larger. Use the compress mode with a lower quality value to get the biggest reduction.
